The Program
- Day 1: The tour starts in Faaborg at 9:45 a.m. On Kanalvej 13, the island ferry is waiting for you, departing at 10:00. The first stop is Lyø where the ferry runs until 10:40am. When you board the ferry you will find a clearly marked “cage” where you need to put your luggage, the ferry staff will arrange to get it safely to Avernakø, where we will transport it up to the hotel.
- On Lyø there are 4 hours to explore this beautiful island. There are no places to eat outside the summer season on Lyø, so it's a good idea to bring packed lunches.
- The ferry departs from Lyø to Avernakø at 14:40. From Avernakø Harbour there is a trip of 1.5 km. to the hotel, where we are waiting with your luggage and a room. At 16:00 there is a welcome with coffee and cake. Maybe the energy is for an evening walk after the meal or maybe the beautiful nature of Avernakou will have to wait until day 2.
- Day 2 you will have packed lunch in connection with breakfast and on the trip there are many good and obvious places to enjoy it. Among other things, Madpakkehuset on Skallevejen. You leave your luggage at the hotel and then we transport it down to the ferry before departure.
- Customize the trip so that you can catch the ferry return to Faaborg at 15:10 or 16:35.

Practical information
- Ferry ticket - Your ferry tickets will be attached to an email we will send to you. There is a barcode that the ferry staff must scan when boarding the [ferry] (https://oefaergen.fmk.dk/)i Faaborg. The other tickets are reserved only, but must also be brought with you. Please note that you must receive your ferry tickets within 2 days of booking. (check spam)
- Your travel plans may change. Therefore, you can easily adjust the departure time of your return ferry by using the link in your ticket.
- Luggage transport - When you board the ferry you will find a clearly marked “cage” where you need to put your luggage, the ferry staff will arrange to get it safely to Avernakø, where we will transport it up to the hotel.
- It is possible to rent bicycles at Avernakø. We have three bike stations where you can borrow and drop off bicycles. Avernakø Havn, Avernakø Landhotel and Korshavn Havn. Price: 50 DKK per day.
- Remember practical footwear and appropriate attire.
- It is a good idea to bring a packed lunch, as there are no open eateries at Lyø at this time of year.
- A water bottle and possibly a thermos bottle.
- Physical maps of Avernakø and Lyø can be found on the Ø-ferry.
- The restaurant and bar are open all day at [Avernakø Landhotel] (https://avernakoelandhotel.dk/) if you want a bite to eat or drink in addition to the included.
- When registering, please indicate which ferry departure you would like to take back to Faaborg. Departure from Avernakø at 15.10 with arrival in Faaborg 15.40 or departure 16.35 with arrival 17.40.
