Plant Colouring
We carry out all processes in plant coloring with 2 different plants/colors.
Step 1: Pickling that enables the yarn's ability to take on color.
Step 2: The dye bath itself, where water, plants and yarn are heated and staining occurs.
Step 3: Fixing colors in vinegar water.
Plant coloring is cozy and slow, so there is plenty of time for relaxation and for the knitwear along the way.
It is possible to bring your own yarn for dyeing. It must be wool, mohair or angora — however max 500 g. There will also be an opportunity to buy Hand-spun yarn at Avernakø Landhotel, which can be used for plant dyeing.
